Required Modules at the University of Auckland

All students starting a new programme at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland are required to complete the following online modules.  How to access and complete the modules will be made clear to you once you begin your course of study.

DELNA (Diagnostic English Language Needs Assessment)

All students at the University of Auckland must complete an online check of their academic English.

Known as DELNA Screening, the computer-based assessment is free, takes 30 minutes and students are able to do a practice version prior to sitting the actual assessment.

To find out more, visit DELNA Screening for Students.

Visit the online DELNA Screening Practice page to do a practice version of DELNA Screening.

Academic Integrity Course

All students must complete the Academic Integrity Course before the end of the first semester of study in their programme.

The Academic Integrity Course is an online set of modules to increase student knowledge of:

  • academic integrity (plagiarism, copyright issues, academic referencing)
  • university rules relating to academic conduct, and
  • the identification and consequences of any academic misconduct.

You will be able to complete the course in your own time and at your own pace over the semester period.

You can only complete the Academic Integrity Module once you have your student login and password.
